New England Pediatrics, LLP was founded in July of 1983 by Dr. Rosemary Klenk and Dr. Dorothy Levine. The two young physicians met and completed their pediatric training together at Babies Hospital, now The Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital of NY. They discovered a shared desire to enter private practice and opened a tiny office on Morgan Street in Stamford. After three short years, the growing practice moved into the Physicians Office Building on the Stamford Hospital campus.
Drs. Klenk and Levine built New England Pediatrics (NEP) family by family and quickly developed a devoted patient following. In 1985, after completing his 3 year residency in Pediatrics at Yale Children’s Hospital, Dr. Alan Morelli arrived in Stamford to begin his four year commitment to the U.S. Public Health Service-National Health Service Corps. There he founded the Southfield Community Organization Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Center on Selleck Street where he provided care to under-served children while sharing night call at New England Pediatrics. NEP welcomed Dr. Morelli as a full time associate in 1989 and Partner by 1993.
In a very short time, NEP achieved a reputation for excellence in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Once the partners opened a second office in nearby New Canaan, NEP was ideally situated to accept patients from throughout Fairfield and Northern Westchester counties. In 2002, the New Canaan practice moved into a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility, designed to accommodate and serve a rapidly growing pediatric population.
In recent years, Drs. Klenk, Levine and Morelli have been associated in practice with several well-trained and highly accomplished young pediatricians. Together with Dr. Todd Palker, and Dr. Jason Davis, our physician team is eager to provide our patients with the highest standard of pediatric care
