After completing his pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital of Yale-New Haven, Dr. Alan Morelli began his career in general pediatrics in 1985 as the founder of The Southfield Community Organization’s Pediatric and Adolescent Medical Center in Stamford. There, he devoted four years as a solo pediatrician with the U.S. Public Health Service-National Health Service Corps. His valuable experience with underserved and underinsured children together with top-notch tertiary center training, have made Dr. Morelli a superb clinician and caring pediatrician. He excels in acute-care pediatrics and enjoys general outpatient care as well.

Dr. Morelli has served as a past member of Stamford Hospital’s Pediatric Executive Committee and is a long-standing member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. In 2005, Dr. Morelli was awarded Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctor” award. And in 2009 he was named among the 'Top Doctors' by Connecticut Magazine

In his spare time, Dr. Morelli can be found biking, coaching youth soccer and basketball or with friends and family on the water in summer or on the ski slopes in winter (his passion!). He and his wife Marietta, a teacher at the Long Ridge School, reside in Stamford with their three children.
