One of the things I've discovered
in general about raising kids is
that they really don't give a damn
if you walked five miles to school.

  • Medication refills are processed via telephone, during regular business hours.

  • To make a request, call well before your prescription runs out and select the prescription refill option on the telephone menu.

  • In your message, include your name and phone number, the child’s name and birth date, the name and strength of each medication, and name and phone number of your pharmacy.

Stimulant Medications

  • Prescriptions for stimulant medications, such as Ritalin®, Focalin®, Concerta®, or Adderall®, cannot be dispensed by phone. A written prescription must be presented directly to the pharmacist.

  • A pharmacy may only dispense one month’s supply at any one time. Please call each month during regular office hours, with at least 24 hours advance notice, to request your prescription for pick-up.

  • In your message, please include your child’s name and birth date as well as the name and dosage of each medicine.

  • Patients who take stimulant medications should be seen at regular intervals (usually every three months ) to monitor the child’s progress and side effects. We can only provide refills if appropriate follow-up visits take place.
